Welcome to the Congee and Noodle Shop by Lubuds, a culinary gem tucked away on the second floor of the Kerry Centre in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong. This charming Chinese restaurant has quickly become a beloved spot among local office workers seeking a delightful lunch escape. Known for its signature offerings of congee and various noodle dishes, Lubuds prides itself on utilizing the freshest ingredients, ensuring that each bowl served is brimming with authenticity and flavor.
As you step into the shop, you are immediately greeted with a cozy atmosphere that provides a welcome respite from the bustling city. The menu, thoughtfully crafted in both Chinese and English, features a range of delicious options. A standout is the spicy minced pork noodles, which one satisfied customer, Yeni K, describes as "soooo good!" This dish captures the essence of hearty, homestyle cooking.
The congee, a traditional rice porridge, is an essential highlight that appeals to both seasoned aficionados and newcomers alike. According to Siobhan P, the congee and noodles are made without MSG, ensuring a wholesome experience for health-conscious diners. The casserole rice dishes, available only during weekdays, offer a delightful twist that adds to the restaurant’s charm.
As a food reviewer with a penchant for quality, I was particularly impressed by the clay pot steamed rice with chicken. Jacky Lok deems it "one of the best in town," and after a taste, it's clear why. The consistent quality is a testament to Lubuds' dedication to its craft. For a truly authentic experience, do not overlook the Chinese wonton and beef brisket noodles, praised by LIN KEUNG, SIMON KHOO for their rich flavors and tender, juicy meats.
The service at Congee and Noodle Shop by Lubuds is efficient and patient, making it a perfect choice for busy lunch hours. During weekdays, you can dine without a service charge, allowing you to focus solely on the delightful food. With its welcoming environment, tantalizing dishes, and a dedicated team ready to serve, this charming establishment is bound to become a favorite.

Hidden away in the Kerry Centre, this noodle and congee shop is popular with surrounding office workers at lunchtimes. The signature dishes - a wide variety of congee (a rice porridge) and noodles - are always made with the freshest ingredients and contain no MSG. The casserole rice dishes are a specialty offered only during weekday lunch times. The service is efficient and there is no service charge during weekdays but 10% at weekends.

The restaurant is on the second floor of the building just above Starbucks. Go up with escalator and turn right from where you step up off the escalator. There are set menus for breakfast. I had set A preserved egg and pork congee, my daughter had set B instant noodle with fried egg and luncheon meat. Well cooked and tastes good. Menu is in Chinese and English. Waitresses are helpful.

With totally four of my family members pay visit to this Chinese noodles restaurant which is situated in Kerry Centre at Quarry Bay area. Environment is quite nice and pretty quiet during afternoon (but what I have been told, peak hours during lunch time is quite crowded & noisy). But what impress me is their food quality which gives me an appetite to re-order another dish, especially their Chinese Wonton and Beef brisket noodles, plus fresh and soft belly meat combined with gravy flavour that almost fall into the trap of their culinary skill and ingredients. One who have tried once will probably prepared another visit. Look forward for you guys comments.
